Born on the Caribbean Island of Dominica, he was introduced to the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ at a very tender age. He made a commitment to serve the Lord and got baptized at the age of 16, not at the river Jordan but at the white river

He was a very active participant in the kingdom business including drama, music, personal witnessing, etc. His love for music leads him to learn to play the guitar. He then thought himself to play the bass and to a lesser extent, the keyboards.

He was part of several gospel music bands including; The Gospel Proclaimers, Heavens Children, Essence of Love and Direct Messengers. He also served as the band leader for Essence of Love.

His preaching ministry began at the age of 19 years old, when he delivered his very first message at an open air meeting.

He met his wife Miriam while she was still at her final year of high school, and he was a young police officer on the Island. He knew immediately, that she was the final choice. They got married after one year of courtship. The union produced three handsome boys and one girl.

After migrating to the United States, he attended Nassau Community College where he majored in Criminal Justice and later served as Police officer in the DeKalb County Police department.

In 1996 he served as a radio announcer at WKDM radio in New York City where hosted the Soul To Soul Gospel Jams, a gospel radio program that featured gospel music, bible quizzes, and a ten 10 min sermon, featuring various pastors at different times.

He also made appearance on Brooklyn’s local television network, B-Cat, providing intro and outro to a local community program. He co-founded Love Tabernacle Fellowship, Int. in Brooklyn New York where he served as Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Leader and director of music and worship. He was ordained a minister in 2005 in preparation for the ministry ahead.

Pastor Durand went on to pursue his biblical studies at Nation 2 Nation Christian University where he obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and biblical studies. He has also done some minor classes with World Bible School on line studying various aspects of Ministry. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Community Christian Ministries, Inc., in Lithonia, Georgia, USA. Which he founded in 2011.
